At Briar Creek Road Baptist Church the role of the Deacon is approached in a unique yet singular fashion. As with the first seven that were called we are Servants, we do not govern. Our duties are humble ones. We minister to the Congregation through prayer, letter and visitation. We assist with baptisms, Communion and offering. We also advise the congregation and Pastoral team with what we believe to be wise and Godly counsel.

Our Deacons generally serve for a period of three years and rotate off of the fellowship for a period of at least one year to allow for rest and rejuvenation.
